West Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles Sued: Loose Carpet Allegedly Caused Fall

The West Virginia Record reports that a woman has sued the West Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles over an injury she suffered when she fell on loose carpeting near the office's front desk. She is seeking compensatory and punitive damages for injuries to her face and eye. The woman's personal injury lawsuit alleges that the carpet was loose and raised by an object on the floor, or by wires. Her lawsuit also names as a defendant the mall that houses the DMV office, according to the West Virginia Record.
