Lawsuit Filed in Spousal Stabbing
A Pennsylvania man has sued his wife for damages exceeding $50,000 after she plunged an 8-inch knife into his chest , reports the The Intelligencer. The woman claimed that her husband's incessant verbal abuse incited the stabbing, which was witnessed by the couple's son. When the woman was sentenced, the judge agreed that she had been affected by her husband's bullying, but sentenced her anyway to a state prison term of up to 4 years. According to The Intelligencer, personal injury lawsuits that take place in the aftermath of spousal abuse are not uncommon.
