Lawsuit Against Six Flags Alleges Defective Ride, Operator Error
An Oklahoma woman has filed a personal injury lawsuit against Six Flags Over Texas, alleging that her back injuries were caused by a "defective and unreasonably dangerous" amusement park ride compounded by operator error, according to the Star-Telegram. The lawsuit stems from an incident when the Texas Tornado, a ride with swinging seats, malfunctioned and abruptly lowered riders to the ground. Nine people received injuries in the 2006 accident, primarily to the back and neck. The Star-Telegram reports that the woman's attorney stated that the woman is able to work, but that her lawsuit stemmed from her feeling that she was not properly treated by the park.
